Our support group has chosen to be a “restricted membership” group based on agreement with our Statement of Beliefs. This simply means that all members share the same basic beliefs concerning Jesus Christ. The following items are what we consider to be basic to a relationship with Jesus Christ. Please read these and the Scripture references cited. If you have any questions, please talk to a member of the Christian Homeschoolers of Castle Rock Board of Directors.

  1. I believe that the Bible is the inspired and only infallible, authoritative written Word of God. (2 Tim 3:16, Deut 4:2, Rev 22:18-19)

  2. I believe that there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matt 28:19, John 14:16-17)

  3. I believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man. (Matt 1:18-23)

  4. I believe in Jesus’ sinless life. (2 Cor 5:21)

  5. I believe that man was created in the image of God. (Gen 1:26)

  6. I believe that man sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God. (Rom 3:23, Rom 6:23)

  7. I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. (Rom 5:8-9)

  8. I believe that all who receive by grace, through faith, the Lord Jesus Christ, are born again of the Holy Spirit, and thereby become children of God. (Eph 2:8-9, John 1:12)

  9. I believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ and His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His present work as High Priest and Advocate. (1 Cor 15:3-4, Mark 16:19)

  10. I believe in the personal return of Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:11)

  11. I believe in the bodily resurrection of the just to everlasting life and the unjust to everlasting punishment. (Matt 25:46, Acts 24:15)

  12. I have received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. (Rom 10:9)
